The problem

A CS degree covers a lot of ground unevenly — some of it taught well, some self-taught out of necessity, some revisited right before an exit exam because it never quite stuck the first time. There isn't one place that lays out the whole map: what the major areas are, what depends on what, and where things actually stand in each one.

The plan

A structured roadmap: the major CS areas — data structures & algorithms, systems, networking, databases, theory, and so on — broken into topics with explicit prerequisites and mastery levels. Built partly as exit-exam preparation, partly as a long-term reference to keep coming back to rather than a thing to finish once.

Why Django

This is content-heavy, not interaction-heavy: topics, prerequisites, mastery levels, and the relationships between them. Django's admin panel is the fastest way to author and manage that kind of structured content without building a custom CMS from scratch, and Python is a natural fit for anything touching algorithm-heavy material directly.

Status

Planned. First milestone: model the topic/prerequisite graph for one area — likely data structures & algorithms, since it's the most immediately useful for interview prep — before trying to cover everything at once.
